Jan 24, 2019 · Similar to the BRN 180 at the upper/bcg area, not sure about the gas system. Had a slick lever-locking front handguard that seemed much more stable than Brownell's clipped retainer thing. Also had a fwd/lhs charging handle like an HK sort of (non locking/slappable)

Jun 16, 2020 · I got received my BRN-180 upper in the mail today. I was so excited to get this on my SCR so I could use a different style stock not being bound by the Remington style recoil system. It seems as if part of the trigger system in the Fightlite SCR gets in the way of the bottom of the upper receiver (where my fingers are pointing).

Nov 20, 2024 · It dawned on me all of a sudden I could do the same thing with a lower that is compatible with the BRN-180! I worked on the cad from a blank sheet of paper so to speak and printed a prototype on Sunday. This is just to get an idea if it is comfortable to hold and manipulate the safety, which was the reason the previous attempts wouldn't work.

May 14, 2024 · I have a 10.5" BRN-180 upper that I run on a milspec LMT defender lower with Kaw valley pic stock adapter. I have a Sig adjustable folding stock on it. One difference to note about the BRN vs jakl is minor but the bolt/buffer assembly is held in place on the jakl upper and there is nothing to hold the BRN assembly in place.

Sep 20, 2021 · My gen2 brn-180s upper is currently back at PWS for service with this exact issue. When hand cycling it is the smoothest action I've ever felt, and almost no gas to the face. As a lefty this is huge. However, with a suppressor attached and in the suppressed setting it seems to be under gassed.

Apr 22, 2021 · Bottom line up front: I like the upper. It suppressed okay enough. Recoil was nothing surprising. Balance was fine. Accuracy may have been negatively impacted due to issues not directly related to the form and function of the upper assembly itself.
