Carson City and Indian Village (or simply Carson City) was a road-side Wild West -themed amusement park located in Catskill, New York, approximately 2 mi (3.2 km) north of the former Catskill Game Farm on New York State Route 32.

May 23, 2008 · Gigi Elmes on Flickr has posted this picture of an uncovered billboard in upstate New York. It seems that at one time there was a “Carson City and Indian Village” in the Catskills. It probably was some kind of schlocky Old West town where you overpaid to watch a gunfight and drink sarsaparilla in the saloon.

Feb 5, 2015 · Carson City and Indian Village was a 100-acre Wild West themed amusement park that had a mock Wild West town with a bank, barber, saloon, school house, and so forth. "Robberies" and shoot-outs were staged, often including visitors just roaming around.

Jun 3, 2016 · Carson City's 100-acre lot, with many of its original buildings still intact, is for sale for $590,000. It's located at 5389 Route 32 in Catskill, and apparently has 4 rented apartments on the property.

West-themed replica towns to open in the Catskills. At 100 acres, Carson City was the biggest, boasting a jail, barbershop, US Marhall's office, Last Chance Saloon and theatre, as well as a train depot and working train.

Established in 1958 by Arthur Gillette, a developer of several attractions in Upstate New York, Carson City was one of nearly ten Wild West replica towns that were created in the mid- to late 1950s, and at approximately 100 acres was one of the largest.
