Feb 26, 2012 · Put the door back on and it was too low to hit the door jam. Lifted and pushed and now it refuses to re-open. Peering into the door i can see that the door jamb is settled in the lock mechanism but the latch that releases the door jamb WILL NOT budge.

Jan 19, 2022 · Door latch was already in closed position. Fix was to pull on door handle and manually push the latch back out and the door closed fine after that. I don't see how locking the door would cause this. Hopefully the latch isn't faulty and I can just lubricate it and forget it.

Nov 9, 2019 · If not frozen, the latch is probably in the "door closed" position. Look at the place when the door latch mechanism meets the post on the door jamb. Then go to the passenger door and open it, look at the position of the latch, compare the two doors.

Jan 19, 2022 · Did you manually pull back on the door locks on the inside of the front door panels? You do not need to remove the whole door panel. You can pull off the manual door lock panel separately and pull on the linkage. You can then remove the trim around the door latch and access the linkage for the door latch and pull on it.

Jul 31, 2012 · A couple times recently, the Burb's RR door has got stuck locked. IIRC, something in the latch was hanging up because it needed lubed, pulling the inside handle repeatedly (and quickly letting go) freed it up so it could be unlocked.
