Dec 7, 2020 · When Dan got introduced, the speaker mispronounced his last name, and Dan’s brother who was standing in the back yelled “HIS NAME IS DAN UGGLA” and it became a joke in the organization to yell that and then Rich and Tommy (the announcers in the clips) found out about the joke and just took it and ran.

Jun 27, 2020 · It will take me a long time to forget Dan Uggla hitting what ended up being a 3-run game winning home run for the Nationals against Braves CP Jason Grilli in the top of the 9th. The Braves were terrible in 2015, but they started off decently that year. That was also a game in which the Braves had an 8 run lead and let it slide inning after inning.

Aug 22, 2012 · Uggla has not shown the signs of a typical slump hitter (swinging at a lot of balls, getting frusterated, letting it carry over to his D), in fact he leads the MLB in walks, is playing his standard rate of defense, and seems to keep a cool head. I honestly think that Uggla is playing to his capabilities right now, and that deep down he knows it.
