You doing a factory type rebuild or going to get your own custom look? The bike is the same as the last picture in the post. I had some petcock and carb issues that needed resolved this last weekend. Aug 13, 2013 · I bought my 85 FJ1100 at the end of May 2013 and been bringing her back to life. I am a car builder thats now getting into bikes and its been a lot of fun. I bought the bike from the PO and it had been sitting for about 5 months and was all dirty and poorly put together.

Feb 28, 2012 · we cut. we paste. we are building an 85 fj1100 fighter rightnow so far custom subframe welded lower mount extension to pick rear up and give a more modern stance with the custom seat that somwhat looks like a tailsection. cut about 5 inches out of tail end of subframe and mounted intigrated tail/brakelight/turn signals inside subframe tubes(not done in pics). moved batery box up where airbox ...

Aug 30, 2008 · If he wants to build a street fighter, start with a theft recovery R1 or something that had a minor low-side. It'll have much better brakes, suspension, engine and everything else. The FJ was the very last holdout of the aircooled, inline four, UJM era.

Mar 9, 2015 · There seems to be plenty of info available about how to fix the problem. Chances are it's been cared for as it should. $2200 is dirt cheap. A fair early 1100/1200 non abs should be around $2500-4000. I'd expect to pay more given what the bike offers, but $2000 or so seems to be the going rate around here. That one is a bit nicer looking than most.
