May 29, 2023 · I decided to install a hitch on our ESCAPE to do light-duty towing of a small utility trailer for hauling stuff. @Salkin the lights work just as the wired ones do. Turn signals, brakes, parking lights. You plug a module into the towing vehicles trailer hitch wire socket and turn the lights to "on". Stick them on the back with the magnets and go.

Aug 18, 2014 · There are normally 3 relays installed as part of the towing package, # 31C, 31D and 31E as well as fuses # 8 & 14. These provide power to that trailer connector. The relays are normally in kit # 8L8Z-15A416-A. If you have no relays, you can check at a wrecker's, also a cheap source for the harness.
