Aug 26, 2014 · The power steering runs off the pump in front of the distributor (if it has a gas engine). The pump draws its fluid from the reservoir on top of the transmission below the fuel tank. It holds around 5 gallons, more or less.

I have a 350 utiltiy with factoy power steering with Hydro touch. The tractor has an add on backhoe and front loader with crankshaft mount pump. The power stering doesn't work because the hydro touch system is restricted some where.

Nov 13, 2007 · You need to remove the steering wheel, then the dash, then the gas tank, in order to get access to the power steering unit. It's bolted to the transmission and has a stabilizing bracket that ties it to the engine. Lifts right off. The priority valve mounts to the hydraulic reservoir, inboard of the fast-hitch valve (in my case at least).

Aug 16, 2017 · Your easiest solution will be to find a flow divider system from a tractor that had power steering and put it on your tractor. Another option would be to add a separate pump for the steering or use a separate flow divider and replace your auxiliary valves with open center valves.

Jul 30, 2012 · The aftermarket Jackson power steering for the 300 and 350U's uses a hydraulic cylinder on each side of the tractor to turn the wheels, but they have you leave the working manual box in place to keep the 2 wheels tracking together.
