Feb 27, 2024 · The Jotaro hat, also known as a "Gakuran" hat, is a black, wide-brimmed hat with a flat top and a distinct silver emblem adorning its front. Its design draws inspiration from traditional Japanese school uniforms, particularly the Gakuran worn by male students.

Dec 12, 2020 · Everytime I see his hat with its three arrow-like symbols, it keeps reminding me of one of the nonbinary gender symbols. When I research it, the actual nonbinary symbol is always upside down, so I'm not sure Jotaro's hat actually means this.

A commonly accepted explanation is that it's just torn, because that was popular delinquent fashion in Japan or something, but based on the few times we see him take off his hat in part 3, it seems as though the hat was made to be half-wig, so that it would look like it was blending into his hair, when in reality, it's just a hat.

Mar 26, 2017 · So in stone ocean while Jotaro was in a "coma" of sorts, we see him instinctively summoning SP to pummel anyone who touches his hat. It has been stated by the overseeing SW doctors that this is a defensive mechanism .

His hat is torn in the back, but it's also permanently glued onto his head; it doesn't come off no matter what. There's also a few moments when Jotaro takes off his hat or his hat gets knocked off his head.

Jan 19, 2023 · The hat is a part of his identity and the hair is a part of his personality, and together they make Jotaro who he is. This is similar to Spinoza’s belief that God and nature are inseparable, and that they are both necessary components of the universe. The merging of Jotaro’s hair and hat is a visual representation of Spinoza’s pantheism.

He also fixed Koichi and Jotaro's wounds in the Sheer Heart Attack arc and fixed the fountain turtle's wounds in the beginning of Part 4. All of which weren't caused by him. Reply reply

Mar 6, 2020 · Jotaro probably took this hat and added some little badges to make it unique, and tore out the back as a sign of defiance, which apparently was popular among Japanese thugs in the 80’s. As for part 4 I’d guess that he went with the same style, but changed the actual hat and tore it a bit less to make a more professional look.
