Dec 12, 2020 · Everytime I see his hat with its three arrow-like symbols, it keeps reminding me of one of the nonbinary gender symbols. When I research it, the actual nonbinary symbol is always upside down, so I'm not sure Jotaro's hat actually means this.
Why is Jotaro’s hat always fused into his hair or something?
A commonly accepted explanation is that it's just torn, because that was popular delinquent fashion in Japan or something, but based on the few times we see him take off his hat in part 3, it seems as though the hat was made to be half-wig, so that it would look like it was blending into his hair, when in reality, it's just a hat.

Mar 6, 2020 · Jotaro probably took this hat and added some little badges to make it unique, and tore out the back as a sign of defiance, which apparently was popular among Japanese thugs in the 80’s. As for part 4 I’d guess that he went with the same style, but changed the actual hat and tore it a bit less to make a more professional look.
