Mar 17, 2022 · I have a ‘14 Grand Cherokee Overland with Bi-Xenon headlights, but the fog lights are halogen, therefore they have a totally different color. It really bugs me, so I normally just don’t ever have the fog lights on. I asked the dealership about switching the halogen with LED fog light bulbs, but they said I could only go aftermarket.

Aug 12, 2022 · Katana 9007 led bulbs for the headlights. Pretty decent in our headlight housing. I personally didn’t touch the fog lights since its job is to cut through fog. I guess you can use yellow/amber leds so it can still function as fog lights

I did this a few years ago. Fog lights. Yes. Worth it. The Subaru kit. No. I ended up buying all the parts separately from the dealer except the fog lights. It ran me about 150 for all the parts. I bought nice led fog logs for a lot cheaper and only spent a total of 250 for everything. Don't get the kit. Source the parts and do it yourself.

Jun 15, 2022 · The PIAA halogen worked better than OEM and you can pick the color temp. It’s also SAE/DOT compliant. I ended up buying extreme white color off eBay ($60 per pair if I recall) and that was cheaper than any local store. The 2021+ only have LED in low beam and fog lights. High beam is still halogen.

Jan 21, 2024 · The plugs for the headlights are different pin types and the wire harnesses between the XLE and Limited/Platinum is different. This means their's no wires for the fog lights on the XLE and the headlights would require modifications.

Feb 12, 2021 · All HID and LED bulbs/kits from sites like theretrofitsource or xenondepot now say that they’re only for fog light use, even though they were previously sold as low/high beam headlight bulbs. So you’re still technically right, since they shouldn’t be used according to DOT, but they were likely sold as actual headlight bulbs in the past.

IIWM. To add accessory fog lights to your car, I would wire in a relay with fused power coming from the fuse block. Then tie in the signal wire for the new relay to the signal wire on the stock fog light's relay so that both lights turn on with the stock switch.
