More than 3,000 hand-blown glass floats are scattered along the city’s seven miles of sandy beaches each year. True to the name, if you find one, it’s yours to keep.

A group of local glass artists became nostalgic for the glass fishing floats of yore, and decided to bring the tradition back to life by hiding their handmade glass floats on the beach. In 2000, Lincoln City took over the program and officially launched "Finders Keepers," transforming it into a year-round tradition that has thrived for 25 years.
