Nosler LR Accubonds: BC testing results - Long Range Hunting …
Mar 8, 2007 · However Nosler doesn't provide recommended 'specialty' twist rates for these bullets (at least not that I could find) so users are left to assume that standard twist rates will work. For example, the .270 caliber 150 grain LRAB fired from a 1:10" twist 270 Winchester only produced an SG (stability factor) of 1.19 under the conditions of the test.
Nosler Ballistics Tip Performace? - Long Range Hunting Forum
Mar 26, 2017 · Shot just about everything in the lower 48 with BT. You can expect about 50% retention and bullets rarely exit, usually under off side hide. Bullets seems to expand at lower velocities, around 500-600yds is the further I've taken an …
Nosler ballistic coefficients accurate? - Long Range Hunting Forum
Dec 16, 2009 · I don't bother with this process for bullets I only intend to take game with at ranges closer than 500 yards. The three bullets I've collected 1000 yd velocities for to date all matched the BC values tested and provided in Bryan Litz's book. So I have high confidence in those bullet BC values from Mr. Litz's book.

120 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip velocities - Long Range Hunting Forum
May 12, 2014 · The 120 Nosler BT is a very good bullet in 7MM Magnum. Don't really know why Nosler has the 3200fps on the box....they pushed it to over 3500fps in their loading manual. Nosler's most accurate load was with 66gr of IMR-4350 at 3348fps out of a 24" barrel. I shoot this bullet and the 140gr Berger Hunting/VLD exclusively in my Savage 7MM Magnum.
How do I calculate the ballistic coefficient?
May 12, 2005 · In my case I use .550 for the Nosler 200gr Accubond and I have found a value of .600 to work well for a 220 SMK. This probably means that the chrony is giving readings that are higher than "true" or that the Bullet BC changes based upon velocity in flight.
Ballistic Coefficient of 338 cal Hornady Interbond vs Nosler …
Jul 30, 2004 · Nosler lists the BC of the 338 cal 225 gr Accubond at .550 and Hornady lists the BC of the 338 cal 225 gr Interbond at .515. I would think that these two bullets would have a real world BC that was virtually the same. I've been shooting Accubonds but might give the Interbonds a try to see how they shoot.
Please help me calculate ballistic coefficient using down range ...
Nov 24, 2007 · Ballistic Coefficient calculation Commonly used nowadays is the ballistic coefficient (BC or G) according to Karpov (i.e. Dr. Boris Karpov, US Army Research Laboratory, 1944), which represents not only the characteristics of the shape and the weight of the bullet, but also takes into account the actual air resistance at a specific velocity.
270 win and 150gr ballistic tip? - Long Range Hunting Forum
Aug 24, 2009 · Should do very well... I've used the 130 grain ballistic tips with great results. The 150's have greater sectional density, and will penetrate well. What powder and charge did you end up using? I like 52.5 grains of IMR 4350 with 150's in the 270... but of course there are lots of other great options. Dan
