Jun 20, 2018 · Lots of internet advice did not help. My type cover is not recognized on Surface Pro (Windows 10 1803). Same Type Cover on a second Surface Pro (bought at the same time) works. The first Surface Pro never recognized the Type Cover since begin in December 2017. Devices bought in Germany December 2017.

Aug 29, 2016 · I have a Surface Pro 4 with a Type cover with fingerprint ID. For the first 3 months all worked well. For the last month, the fingerprint scanner has stopped working. If I leave the Hello setup on, the page comes up with "Windows Hello is Preventing Some Option From Being Shown" showing. If I remove the Hello setup, the message goes away.

All apps (including iTunes) are up to date in the Microsoft Store App. No, I am not talking about that old type cover. That type cover won't even fit on the Surface Pro X since it is for the older Surface Pros.

I have googled it and it seems alot of people have this problem. This doesn't work for me - I need to rely on this device which means the keyboard / track pad MUST work 100% of the time.
