In other words there are definitely people that are downloading their 401K from Vanguard so it is clear that it can be done, the question becomes then why isn't your 401K supported. You can call Vanguard, but I would bet they would just refer you back to your employer.

A couple weeks ago Quicken decided the securities balances in a Vanguard 401k retirement account were incorrect. As of September 9 the holdings are A-ok, there's only one security in the account and the share balance is correct. September 10, it goes haywire, the holdings show placeholders that are basically messing up the account.

Therefore, I make contributions twice per month which in turn generate purchase transactions twice a month. Quicken only downloads the transactions from the EOM activity, not the 15th. Vanguard should have a person or group assigned to manage your employer's 401K plan. Often times that person's name or group along with their contact information will be identified on the statements you get from them.

Re-read Tom Young's post. He has the exact sequence of events and the exact transactions you should have in your Vanguard account. BTW, if you rolled over a 401K into an existing Vanguard investment account, why in the world would you create a NEW Vanguard investment account? It should be going to the account you already have.
